The Clay Cottage is a family run business which has been established since 2000 and encourages people of all ages to get creative, even in this hi tech era it’s still great to create, even teens love it (once you can get them off their electronic devices)!
Everyone is welcome regardless of age and ability. The studio is wheelchair and pushchair friendly, with bottle warming and baby changing facilities, the kettle is always on for refreshments on the house.
Our main activity is ceramic painting, but you can also enjoy clay building or the very popular potters wheels on our purpose build clay room!
Evening craft classes are also held during the year which offer new crafts to try such as seasonal wreaths, paper cutting, string art, paper folding and a lot more. These are hosted by Kelly from craftsyoumake you can find more info on this via our Facebook page.
During all the school holidays there are plenty of themed craft and clay workshops to keep the children happy and busy. It’s lovely to see their faces beaming when they have achieved making a wonderful piece of art.
All in all it’s a fun place to visit.
